Type: Restoration / Heritage
Location: Sânmartin village
Year: 2021
The project proposes the restoration of the church enclosure wall, continuing previous interventions and reinforcing the coherence of the historic ensemble.
The intervention focuses on authentic material conservation, using traditional techniques and materials such as reclaimed brick, lime mortar and clay tiles.
The structure is stabilized with discreet buttresses, while historical layers are revealed through exposed masonry sections.
Circulation and access are redefined through subtle contemporary interventions, strengthening the relationship between church, cemetery and surrounding spaces.
