Location: Miercurea Ciuc
Year: 2014
Area: 5,000 m²
Result: Winning proposal
Designed as a competition entry, the project reinterprets the traditional market as a central community space.
The concept is based on the memory of the historic spindle-shaped layout, generating a symbolic core that organizes the entire composition.
The complex integrates a porous market hall, covered open stalls, pedestrian park and complementary volumes into a coherent spatial system.
The intervention mediates the transition from urban traffic to pedestrian scale, creating a contemporary public space rooted in local identity.
